stable 2.8.2: network graph limited in horizontal size ???

I installed gitlabhq stable version 2.8.2 and configured it.
Then I converted an older but extensive project from cvs (through subversion) to git.
When I consult the network graph, I found that "browsing" back in the past, the visualisation stops at 2011 november 9th. Is this a recognized shortcomming ? It's not that our project doesn't have any commits prior to then. When consulting gitk, I can find back the first commits as far as 1993.
Furthermore, maybe a scrollbar to the graph would be handy.
