Email notification and wall messages

i've noticed that when i'm posting something on wall with option NOTIFY VIA EMAIL: Project team nobody gets notified
checked postfix log file tail -f /var/log/mail.log looks like it is not trying to send anything
but when i click password recovery - i'm getting an email from gitlab
i'm confused, resque is working fine. Debian GNU/Linux 6.0.6 (squeeze) gitlabhq 3.1.0
