Graphs fail, possibly because of repository size

Just tried the new 5.3 stable version and graphs work, except for one repository where they don't show up at all. This repository also happens to be quite a large one (200 MB, 1.000 commits).
I don't have anything but the browser console output to go on (graph page just stays blank):
